The Next Generation in Sustainable Plant Protection
Introducing the PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protector, the innovative solution for safeguarding your young plants while caring for our planet. Engineered with a next-generation formula, these protectors are specifically designed to biodegrade in soil and aqua environments, setting the standard for ecofriendly horticultural products.
Why Choose PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protectors?
PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protectors are uniquely engineered to biodegrade in both aqua and soil environments. The main raw material has been independently tested for marine, water and soil biodegradation, ensuring that if the product ever reaches the waterways, it will naturally break down by being consumed by microbes. Importantly, these protectors also biodegrade on land through microbial activity. The length of time it takes to degrade will depend on the environment. The expected lifespan is 1-2 years.
While the marine biodegradability adds value by addressing the risk of land-based debris reaching the sea, the soil biodegradability ensures that PolyNatural® protectors are a responsible choice for all planting environments. As always, responsible disposal is encouraged, and these features are not an invitation to litter.
Upcycling Coffee Silverskin: Turning Waste into Value
A standout feature of PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protectors is the innovative use of coffee silverskin, a natural byproduct of coffee roasting. Coffee silverskin is the thin, papery layer that comes off coffee beans during roasting-typically considered a waste product and often discarded. By incorporating this abundant, nutrient-rich material into our plant protectors, PolyNatural® transforms what would otherwise be landfill waste into a valuable, high-performance resource.
Why Coffee Silverskin?
Sustainable Sourcing: Utilising coffee silverskin supports a circular economy, reducing agricultural waste and giving new life to materials that would otherwise be thrown away.
This commitment to upcycling not only reduces waste but also adds unique value to the PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protectors-making them a smarter, greener choice for environmentally conscious growers.
How do they work?
Biodegradation: Created using the same biotechnology as our award-winning Vine Clips, They are made from natural materials and produced through fermentation before being shaped into PolyNatural® Aqua Plant Protectors.
Eco-Performance: Around 41% of known microbes can use our material as a feed source, ensuring efficient and complete breakdown, completely avoiding microplastics or harmful residues.
Zero Microplastics: PolyNatural® Vine Clips do not add to plastic pollution.
